SilentStarring out my window cold,
Dreaming about stories I've told.
I begin to think,
About all I've sold.
It seems to be just white and black,
So much to which it must lack.
All i can do is just give in,
And lean so very far back.
When the darkness sourounds me.
What shall i be?
What shall i think?
As i fall into sleep?
No feeling or smell,
No more stories to tell,
No pain or missery,
As i think about the gates of hell.
One last mOmment of pain.
One last second playing the game.
As the screams of those around,
All sound the same.
MemoriesSitting here in abliss.
That one soft kiss.
Thinking back to a memories unknown.
Looking and waiting,
So very alone.
Watching the shadows come out to play.
Crying and screaming,
Hoping it will all go away.
What is it in which i lack?
Blinded by roses,
And wings of black.
Dreaming about tales untold.
Embrassinga new life,
Overcoming the cold.
I hum a sweet song of the night.
And fall all over again,
As I lose all sight.

Five was the amount of fingernails you bit off while watching people enter and exit the waiting room, and the amount of minutes your mother spent on the phone, explaining that something was wrong. Five is the critical difference between holding a father’s hand as your mother cries into his heart shaped pillow. The difference between rejoicing and smiling weakly because he’s okay or carrying your father’s American-flag-covered-casket and watchin
